Tyler’s Senior Pics

November 13, 2007

I don’t shoot a lot of senior portraits but Sunday I shot a session for the son of a co-worker of a friend of mine… I think… Anyway, it was a great session and we got some great shots. Thanks a lot and best of luck with your future!

Andrea & Alan’s Engagement Shoot

October 9, 2007

Whew! Running about a week behind with the blogs. Andrea and Alan are yet another awesome couple I had the privilege of shooting recently. We took them downtown for a quick session and got some great images. Here they are!

Thanks guys! I had a great time. Can’t wait to shoot the wedding!

A few more from Merideth and Brian!

September 26, 2007

When shooting with Merideth and Brian last Monday, we ran out of good light for shooting so we took a quick session down at the river and at the house to get a few more casual shots they really wanted. Here are my faves.

Merideth’s lovely engagement ring.

Can’t forget the family mascot!

These guys were so much fun to work with! I will be shooting their wedding in January and I can’t wait!

Merideth & Brian’s Engagement Shoot!

September 19, 2007

Yes, I still remember how to take pictures! I have been so swamped lately that blogging has fell to the bottom of my “to do” list. Anyway, enough with the excuses! I shot this couple Monday evening and I must say what a great time we had. We bummed all over downtown Tulsa capturing their engagement photos. They are to be married here in Tulsa at the beginning of 2008. And just because I feel guilty for not posting in a while, I am going to throw in a few extra! Enjoy!

Here is your mandatory flair!

No shortage of Art Deco downtown, either!

I just love the colors you can find in downtown.

No Downtown Tulsa experience is complete without the Legendary Cains Ballroom.

A Little Something Special…

June 21, 2007

Now the Jessica and Scott’s wedding is done, and with their permission, I can finally spill the beans about a wonderful little project Jessica, Tania and I put together for Scott. A boudoir shoot that we had printed into a 7″x7″ book that was a surprise for Scott on the wedding night. This worked out so well, looks amazing and Scott loves it! If you would like to see the shoot then please go to MY WEBSITE and click on the proofing tab at the bottom.

Don’t worry, there is no nudity! The photos are very classy, but I still didn’t want to lay them out here in plain view just in case someone might find it a little too sexy!!

I would love to hear your comments and If you have any questions about this shoot, please ask!

Scott & Jessica’s Wedding

June 21, 2007

What a blast! These guys did a great job of putting this thing together and I am very grateful to them for letting me take part. You two make a great couple and Tania and I are happy to call you friends. Here are a few of my favourites from the day.

The venue was the Dresser Mansion here in Tulsa.

A little detail shot of some info cards/pictures I had printed up for them to put out during the reception. Ask me about these if you decide to have me at your wedding!

The centerpiece before it was overwhelmed with tons of wonderful foods.

Oh, how I wish I wasn’t trying to trim up!!!

The dress!

And her Melani Kicks.

Getting ready

Jessica’s Lovely and very photogenic daughters

Here is Scott getting ready and obviously very nervous!

A nice shot of Jess coming down to the ceremony.

One last shot. Sure looks official to me!

Jessica and Scott’s (quasi) Engagement Shoot

June 21, 2007

Sorry for being the silent blogger here the last few weeks… I am trying to get better, I swear!!! Anyway, I had a shoot the other day for Jessica and Scott for a picture thing we are doing for their wedding. We raced to meet Jessica just minutes before she had to be at work, so we just fired off a few shots down by the river and even got chased away by the photo Nazis.

Istanbul via Moscow (pt. 2 Istanbul)

May 1, 2007

So this is a post with a lot of pictures therefore I chose to use clickable thubmnails instead of the full size images. Let’s get started!

Just click on the picture to see the full size image in another window!

Here was out company for a couple of the nights we were in Istanbul. My friend Fatih and his wife, Gizem were the ones nearest to Tati and me.

This was the (slightly foggy) view from our apartment. Fatih’s mother left town so we could occupy her place for the week we were in Istanbul. How’s that for Turkish hospitality?

SMART! At least I think they are… Smarts are everywhere in Europe and you can see why. Gasoline in Istanbul was eight dollars a gallon. No joke. Traffic jams get so bad that sometimes it takes a couple hours to go ten miles.

The biggest Burberry shop I have ever seen.

Inside of the Galatasaray Hamam. A Turkish bath is a must-do when visiting. Istanbul is expensive and a couple hour trip to the hamam only cost about $50 and included steaming, massage, exfoliation, and a foam scrub. It is unreal how clean you feel when you finish. Your skin really is squeaky clean.

I couldn’t take a picture inside the hamam because of the humidity but I was able to find a picture of the same hamam online. Btw… This hamam is 550 years old.

This was one of the nice little offshoots of Taksim. Taksim is one of the VERY nice and expensive shopping and dining districts in Istanbul.

The absolute best food you will ever eat. Oh how I miss Turkish food… :(

So, you like designer stuff, eh? How about a new FANDI bag! Turkey is known for extremely high quality fakes (some say better than the originals) so I was a bit amused when I saw this Fendi knockoff hanging around this ladies shoulder.

The new shopping mall in Istanbul, Kanyon. Nice! And again, VERY expensive… ugh.

The Mac Geek in me won. One of the Apple stores in Istanbul.

This is a shot from our first morning there. A bit rainy, but charming nonetheless. Breakfast on the Bosphorus.

Here are a couple shots from the spice bazaar. It was also around five hundred years old and excited every the senses in so many ways. A very large building comprised of thousands of feet of exotic spices, teas and other wonderful treats. Such an amazing place!

Another Turkish breakfast on the Bosphorus.

The next seven shots are from our tour of the Bosphorus.

A nice shot of Fatih and Gizem.

Something nobody had seen before. The Bosphorus was full of jellyfish. Lots of them.

McTurco anybody? No, I didn’t eat one.

This is the Blue Mosque down in the major historical area in Istanbul. Sultan Ahmed.

Inside of the San Sophia museum. Originally a church built by Constantine in 463A.D. Taken by the Ottomans in 1453 and converted into a mosque. It’s impossible to imagine how they put this thing together so long ago. Standing in the bottom, the magnitude of this building is something that pictures can do no justice.

A shot of the Blue Mosque from a window on the second level of the Hagia Sophia (San Sophia) museum.

Istanbul via Moscow – (pt. 1 Moscow)

April 18, 2007

We have recently learned that having two weeks of vacation end on a Wednesday and then returning to work on Thursday morning is a somewhat painful affair! It has taken us a week but I think we are finally starting to return to reality and recover from our vacation hangover. Although, I must admit that my luggage is still not 100% unpacked… Oh well. Russia was, for the most part, uneventful. The majority of the trip was running around seeing our wonderful family and friends. The last day was crazy but fun as we spent it mostly in Moscow walking around and looking at Red Square and the center shopping and sight seeing.
Red Square! On the left is the GUM Mall and in the middle off in the distance is St. Basils Cathedral, on the right is the Kremlin and the tomb of Comrade Lenin.

This is taken inside the GUM. There are three sections just like this that comprise the whole shopping center. You can find anything and everything designer in this place.

A better shot of the outside of the GUM. It was a palace before the revolution.

Mexican Food. It’s not just for Okies & Texans anymore… It says, “La Cantina”.

A Monument to Minin and Pozharsky

Here is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier located just outside of the Square on the edge of the Kremlin. We also got to see the changing of the guard. Very cool!

Istanbul pics to follow!

Here I am!!!

April 6, 2007

Well, I finally got some internet access. PLEASE NOTE my number has changed and you can find the correction in the previous post. Turkey is AMAZING!!!!! And even that is an understatement. I have never seen anything like this in my life. I would live here in a second. I have little time now but I will try to post up something later or at least Thursday when I return!!!
